VOICES OF THE STARLIGHT WOMB
Grief Circle + Ritual Immersion with the Kontomblé
at Wanderland Rainforest
We meet on the Fall Equinox - Saturday, September 21st
from 1pm - 5:30 pm*
*12:30pm arrival, circle begins promptly at 1pm
at Wanderland Rainforest Sanctuary
in Nehalem, Oregon
Join Initiated Voice Diviner, Aislinn Kerchaert, and the Kontomblé, the Little People of the Dagara Tribe, in this ritual immersion at a beautiful rainforest sanctuary in Nehalem, OR. Our circle will be hosted and supported by Carolyn Greenwood, who is a Forest Therapist, ceremonialist and steward of Wanderland Sanctuary.
We will gather on the Fall Equinox, to mark the passageway through the mycelial magic of fall into the underworldly descent of a cozy, coastal winter.
Voices of the Starlight Womb is dedicated to the children of the earth, including the tree children, bee children, fae children, rock children- the whale children and the mountain children, and most especially, the child inside you!
Through the practice of our grief circle and elemental ritual, we aim to acknowledge the beings of the Natural world who have gone too far unregarded by the Modern World. With the guidance and council of the Kontomblé, we will slow down, and open our ears and our hearts to listen to the messages they have for us at this time.
The Equinox is a time of equal day and equal night, and because of this it is also a portal time. The light that is emitted from the sun in the days leading up to, and the days following an Equinox bring important codes and messages.
Last fall during the Equinox, the Kontomblé delivered a potent message. They showed that the light that was being transmitted during the window of last year’s Equinox was “planting seeds” in the “womb of the earth”.
The womb of the earth is a primordial realm beneath her mantle, where many ancient beings and earth-born deities dwell. Through the throes of Modernization, many ancient primordial beings and deities have been severed or cast away from the earth…many ancient doorways once held open by our Ancestors have closed. The Kontomblé have shown that these Ancient Ones must re-enter our world through Mother Earth’s Womb in order to be “reborn” and reclaim their mantles in their original, ancient form.
As they showed me this vision, the Kontomblé were rejoicing, because the light that was seeded during that particular Equinox portal was laying the groundwork for a massive incoming wave of repair and return. An example may be the deity of a holy mountain, or an ancient boulder, or the dragon of a river or sea.
Now they show that what is needed is for us to “water the seeds”. We can do this by gathering and grieving the missteps that humanity (and all that has misguided humanity) have made against nature, and against the children of the world.
By coming together to offer up the medicine of our grief, we generate a sweetness that is meant to be a welcomed offering to the beings that long to return to us!
It’s a simple recipe…
As we remember-
we return to Her.
As we return to Her,
these ancient beings are able to return too.
Our Day of Ritual includes:
Opening Circle + Invocation
Group Circle + Intention Sharing
Elemental Ritual + Song
Group Divination with the Kontomblé (When the Kontomblé come through, they speak in their mother tongue. You will hear them speak in their language through Aislinn’s voice, and then hear her translate this into English.)

“If you seek to reconcile
That which has been defiled-
You must Rewild, Rewild, Rewild,
Your inner child!”
-The Kontomblé
As a voice diviner, Aislinn has been a mouthpiece for the Kontomblé for many years, bringing their messages through to many groups and individuals alike all over the earth.
In this ritual immersion, each participant will be guided on a journey into the earth to commune with these Otherworldly allies. We will learn about the importance of our Ancestral Medicines and the making of offerings through the lens of the Kontomblé. We will listen to receive and re-seed the messages they have for us about how we can be better tenders and menders of this beautiful planet we call home. We will explore the art of offerings and elemental ritual to mark this moment of communion with these powerful co-creators and allies, repairing ancient bonds and remembering the playfulness and joy of these original connections.
About our location
Wanderland is not only a beautiful sanctuary for us to gather in, it is also a power-place.
In my work with Carolyn and the Kontomblé over the past couple years, the beings of the land have spoken and shared that they are calling on all local and regional stewards to step up and reclaim their power.
The little people have shown that Wanderland is a place where “hands are returned to the healers again”. As we gather, we enter into collaboration with the unseen, who guide us in this holy re-entry into a part or piece of ourselves that has perhaps been long forgotten or unregarded for some time.
The Voices of the Starlight Womb are the voices of these children of the earth- the children of the Natural World, who dwell in Mother Earth’s belly, ready to return to us.
The Kontomblé show that each tear we cry and song we sing from a place that is pure of heart builds a bridge to them.
Let us gather and build a beautiful bridge, my friends!
Honoring the echo of an Old Growth Grove
An ancient grove of old Growth Spruce, Cedar and Fir once graced the land that is now Wanderland. The beings of the land remember this time, and still mourn and grieve the loss of this old growth forest. While a new “daughter forest” has emerged and is robust, beautiful and strong- the beings of this land are inviting us into a sacred ceremony of reunion where in through grieving our shared losses of the disconnect from nature, we are able to generate a healing remedy that reverberates out into the collective.
An ancient Grandfather Spruce once stood tall in the heart of Wanderland, and while only his stump remains- still his voice is strong. He and his Earth-Protector friends (in the form of the little people, the nature spirits, the forest people!) call us forth for this day of ritual. The wisdom of this Grandfather Tree greets the children within us, and makes way for a tender and timely reconciliation.
About the Kontomblé +
Group Divination
The Kontomblé are the little people of the Dagara Tribe in Burkina Faso. Their tradition and ways were brought to the West by Elder Malidoma Somé. The Little People are known by many names across many cultures. Recognized as leprechauns, fairies, gnomes, menehune, and more- their medicine and its message are universal in nature. They have always been a part of this world, and now, more than ever- they are wanting to reconnect with humanity to guide us through the transformational times we are in!
Often, the Kontomblé speak on behalf of all nations of little people. Messages from these little relatives often come through in the form of poetry, playful riddles, and in the magic of 3’s. Their mother tongue is a language as old as earth, and it brings healing to both body and spirit.
In a Group Divination, the Kontomblé bring messages for the group as a whole, and then receive 3 questions at the end of their transmission. They also offer healings and activations to the group, utilizing song and elemental ritual.
